A Celebration of Craft and Community: Inside the Gilded Collection Preview at NYCxDESIGN
NuStory proudly unveiled the Gilded Collection, a new collaboration with the Brownstone Boys, during an unforgettable launch party held in tandem with NYCxDESIGN this month.

Celebrating With the Trade Community
The event brought together over 100 members of the design community—including interior designers, architects, and editors—to honor the collection’s inspiration, process, and craftsmanship.

Hosted in NuStory’s NYC showroom, the evening was an immersive experience designed to bring the story behind each rug to life. Barry Bordelon and Jordan Slocum of the Brownstone Boys walked guests through the thoughtful details and historic references that shaped the collection.
Every rug was paired with its original design inspiration: from the color of a brownstone stair banister that informed the Foyer Runner, to the ornate wood carvings behind the Study Rug, and the decorative plasterwork that inspired the high-low textures of the Tea Room Rug.
Guests enjoyed signature cocktails named after the designs—like the Parlor Punch and Bodega Brewtini—and mingled while exploring the collection up close.

As a final nod to the Bodega Rug, the playful indoor-outdoor rug included in the collection, guests left with their own market bag and a bouquet of fresh bodega flowers. They also were gifted custom matchbooks printed in the collection's rug patterns—a charming takeaway reminiscent of NYC’s classic restaurants.

Following the event, NuStory opened its showroom to the public for the week, offering a chance for designers and decorators to view the collection and inspiration in person, connect with the Brownstone Boys and NuStory teams, and place their pre-orders.
